The first batch of X65MS acid-resistant pipe and pipeline steel plates independently developed by HBIS Wusteel has been delivered to the customer and will be used in the construction of the core section of the submarine gas transmission pipeline of a deep-sea natural gas project in Southeast Asia. The development of this steel grade has filled the gap in the domestic field of deep-sea acid-resistant pipe and line steel, providing a “HBIS solution” for steel used in Marine energy.

In response to this situation that supplied pipline steel need to confront the three severe challenges of strong corrosive environment, extreme mechanical load and extremely strict dimensional tolerance, HBIS Wusteel has established a research and development team for X65MS pipeline steel to customize in key parts for client. The R&D team focused on “acid corrosion resistance + high strength and toughness” as the core key of their research and development. They precisely controlled the steelmaking composition, strictly designed key indicators such as the rolling process and heat treatment process, and overcame industry difficulties such as in controlling the performance and property steel plates production, to ensure that indicators of the steel plates all meet the project requirements, and the products has successfully passed the strict certification of Bureau Verticals (BV). After the product is taken off the production line, a prompt channel will be opened to ensure that orders are delivered to customers promptly and continuous tracking services will be provided.
